CallaCrew is excited to introduce our innovative new service 'Virtual Assistants' which we are currently marketing.   We have on our books a pool of highly skilled people who possess a wealth of expertise and who are available during off-season periods and who need to pay their monthly expenses.   Some of the services include document typing, CV compilation, IT and social media assistance, research, translation, transcription services, travel arrangements, and many more office tasks.   Additionally, we can offer other solutions such as sourcing drivers, chaperones, and staff for a wide range of manual labour requirements.    If you have skills that you are able to offer please let us know, so that we can sign you up onto this platform.   GUIDELINES FOR COMMERCIAL FILMING IN SOUTH AFRICA UNDER COVID-19 CONDITIONS 26 April 2022 INTRODUCTION The Commercial Producers Association of South Africa (CPA) presents guidelines for the filming of commercials under  Covid-19 conditions. PREAMBLE On 4th April 2022 the South African Government gazetted new regulations terminating South Africa’s National State of  Disaster and introducing new transitional measures that are to be implemented while they move towards managing the  Covid-19 pandemic through the National Health Act (NHA). The Disaster Management Act provides that certain elements of the regulations may remain in place for a limited period  for “post disaster recovery and rehabilitation”. Accordingly, in order to ensure essential public health precautions and other  necessary services are not interrupted while the new regulations in terms of the NHA come into effect, certain transitional  provisions will remain in place for a period of 30 days after the termination of the

  Please see below a letter from Bobby Amm from the CPA : Dear All I am sharing with you a letter we sent out yesterday to CPA members.  It goes without saying that the commercial sector of the industry has been severely impacted by the emergence of the Omicron variant and the travel bans that have resulted from it.  We estimate that over R500 million has been lost to our industry in the last 10 days.    Despite dozens of cancellations in Cape Town, there is fortunately still some work on the go however in order to maintain this we need your assistance please.     Please ask your members to impress upon the crew and talent they represent that attending large festivals, parties, gatherings etc that are currently permitted under Adjusted Alert Level 1 is not conducive to successful shoots as the chances of contracting Covid at these events - even if you are fully vaccinated - is extremely high.    If crew & talent arrive on set and test positive for COVID this can have significant co

 COVID PROTOCOLS ON SET Please see below the CPA's recommendations on Covid Protocol on set, following a meeting held with all crew agents in JHB on 15 June : 15 June 2021  Dear JHB Agents  Thank you for meeting with us on Monday morning. We can report that we held an emergency meeting with our members at 4pm yesterday to discuss the various issues in more detail and the following recommendations were made:  1. The CPA will recommend to the ACA/advertising agencies a return to remote streaming to reduce the numbers on set. Client and agencies will be discouraged from coming to set where possible.  2. The CPA will approach the ACA and advertising agencies to inform them that crew (and their agents) are insisting on Rapid Antigen Tests in the following circumstances:  • Prior to the wardrobe call – at the recommendation of the production company depending on the circumstances.  • Either on the day before the shoot or at the beginning of the first day of shooting (te
